Exploratory Technology, a revolutionary,
new curriculum, meets the needs of
middle school students as they explore
technologies that impact their daily
lives. The program emphasizes the
application of math, science, reading,
writing, research, computer and hands-on
skills in a cooperative learning
environment. Topics covered in
Technology Education include robotics,
electricity, electronics, rocketry and
space, engineering, transportation,
energy and power, graphics
communications, flight, graphic
animation, applied physics, audio
broadcasting, and research design.
Students design and build robot
blinkers, bridges, Metric 500 racers,
airplane wings, and model rockets.
Students also orchestrate a
fifteen-minute radio broadcast with
music, news, and weather. |
