The Library Media Center functions as a
laboratory for learning and for
fostering the intellectual development
of middle school students.
Students acquire the skills to become
independent learners and sophisticated
users of information for problem
solving. Students utilize the
technologies of learning to retrieve,
organize, document, synthesize,
interpret, and present information.
The library media specialist assists and
instructs students and cooperates with
teachers in the development of
curricular units and learning
experiences enriched with media
resources. Teachers and the
library media specialist integrate
skills into the total curriculum. |
