SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER PROGRAM

The Bristol Virginia Police Department in conjunction with Bristol Virginia Public Schools participates in the School Resource Officer Program.  Currently, a school resource officer is located at Virginia High School and Virginia Middle School. “A school resource officer is a certified law-enforcement officer hired by the local law enforcement agency to provide law-enforcement and security services to Virginia public elementary and secondary schools.”  The school resource officer for Virginia High School can be reached at (276) 821-5911 and the school resource officer for Virginia Middle School can be reached at (276) 821-5699.
