How to be a successful first grader
Classroom Expectations:
1. Be attentive
Listen when the teacher is speaking
Follow directions the first time they are given
2. Follow all classroom and school procedures
3. Show respect
Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself
Raise your hand to speak
Be kind and encourage each other
4. Come prepared and ready to learn
Rewards for maintaining classroom expectations:
1. Verbal praise
2. Stickers, certificates, notes to parents
3. Treasure chest treats
4. Special activities or treats
Consequences for not maintaining classroom expectations:
Students may lose privileges, rewards, or have their parent notified based upon the guidelines of our behavior management plan. Severe disruptions result in a visit to the principal's office.
