Account Information
All Pre-K students love to eat ice cream. The cafeteria sells ice cream for 50 cents on Fridays only. This money can be taken out of each student’s account each week. On Thursday, I will send home a note indicating the balance in the student’s account. We will not let any child go without ice cream so if you forget, we will loan the student the money to purchase ice cream. A note will be sent home to let you know that your student forgot his/her money.
We are not allowed to tell your child that
they cannot purchase extra items from the cafeteria if they have money in their
accounts. If your student is spending a lot of money in the cafeteria,
this may be the cause. If you would like for your child to only purchase
ice cream on Fridays, please send a note to school and his/her account will be
marked accordingly and extras will not be allowed.
We also allow students who packed a lunch to get a
“hot” lunch if they change their mind and they have money in their
accounts. Please let us know if this is unacceptable.
Every Thursday, we send home a lunch account notice
informing you of how much money is in your child’s account. Please check the daily folder for this
information. Elementary students who are
not on free or reduced lunch are allowed to charge for a total of $11.00 (5
lunches/breakfasts) when they do not have enough in their account to purchase
meals.
Elementary school students are allowed to purchase
one drink and one food item extra in addition to their lunch unless you have
notified us that extras are not allowed.
