Power Point in the Computer Lab and in the Classroom

These are just some ideas to get you started.  Each of these ideas is flexible and can be made to meet your individual needs.

Make a presentation for Open House.  Have pictures and class information.  Set it to loop so it will keep playing while you talk with parents.  This will keep parents from becoming impatient and will also answer some of their questions.

Have students research different animals on the internet.  They can then make a presentation with the information. They love sharing these in class.  If you have access to a projector, these are really fun to share on the "big screen".
Research and collect information and pictures about the solar system.  Add sounds and animation.  This is a fun project and the students will remember the planets when they are done.

Make a presentation of historic cities.  I used vacation pictures. This is a great way to "visit" other places.  This can be done by the teacher or by students.
This is great for the younger students.  include a pair of synonyms and pictures on each slide.  Each child can do their own, or create a class project with each child doing just one slide.

Make presentations for teaching skills. These can be shown to the class using a projector, or made available for students to access themselves.
As you are studying invertebrates and vertebrates, you can do a compare and contrast type of presentation.  Again, you will be amazed at what students remember months later.
