Spreadsheet/Database Activities *

for the Classroom

	Planets - Create a spreadsheet/database  when you are studying the Solar System.  Include: Planet name, Year length, diameter, number of moons, day length, and distance from the sun.
	Presidents - Create a spreadsheet/database of American Presidents.  You can include: First and Last Name, Years in Office, Wife's Name, Number, State, Re-elected?, Vice-President
	Famous Americans - Create a spreadsheet/database Name, Birth date, Birthplace, Education, Important events, Why famous
	Regions of the U.S. Virginia, or other state - Create a spreadsheet/database that includes: State Name, Natural Resources, Economy, Industries, Services, Agriculture, Climate, Landforms, Important Rivers and Lakes, Major Cities, Important Events, and Tourist Attractions.
	Early Explorers - Create a spreadsheet/database that includes: Name, Year Born, Year Died, Nationality, Explored for what country, Years explored in US, Areas explored.
	Food Groups - Create a spreadsheet/database with the students' names listed and how many servings of each food group they eat for a day.  (Meat, Fruit, Bread, Milk, Fats)

*All activities can be done in a spreadsheet program (Excel or Works)
or in a Database program (Access or Works)
