  • 2002 and 2003 Governor’s Innovative Technology in Education Award Winner. Sponsored by the VA Department of Education and AOL.  Winners were selected by a Blue Ribbon panel of judges chosen by Governor Mark Warner.

  • Technology Coordinator at Stonewall Jackson Elementary. Responsibilities include: maintaining all computers in the building, assisting teachers with  software and hardware problems, prepare lessons and teach lab classes to all students grades 1 – 5.
  • Created the Stonewall Jackson TECH TEAM and continue to instruct the team.
  • AECT Project Expert Panel –Elementary Instructional Support
  • Successfully completed the requirements for the Virginia Technology Standards for Instructional Personnel.
  • Successfully completed the requirements for Educational Networking with classes at UVA.
  • Successfully completed the CISCO networking coursework.
  • Successfully completed A+ Software and Hardware coursework.
  • Attend the North Carolina Educational Technology Conference annually in Greensboro, NC.
  • Attend the annual Technology Splash at the Southwest VA Higher Education Center in Abingdon, VA.

  • Member of Virginia Society for Technology in Education.
  • Member of the Technology Oversight Committee in Bristol, VA (2001-2003)
  • Teach Adult Education classes for the Bristol VA Public Schools.  These include: Beginning and Advanced Word, Beginning and Advanced Excel, and Power Point.
  • Attended in-service training offered at the Virginia Department of Education on Software Evaluation.
  •  Teach classes for teachers and staff in the school system, including Inspiration, Kidspiration, Kid Pix, Hyperstudio, and Beginning Windows.
  • In-service teachers on Accelerated Reader and Star Reader.
  • Teach lab classes at Stonewall Jackson Elementary, which include Kid Pix, Inspiration, Kidspiration, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Hyperstudio, Internet, and Basic Windows.
