- 1994 Graduate of Sullivan Central High School in Blountville, TN
- Active Duty United States Army 1994 to 1999; Honorable Discharge
- Graduated Cum Laude with a BA in Political Science and
History from King College in Bristol, TN
- Education Licensure from King College for grades 7-12
- Began teaching at Virginia Middle School in Bristol, Virginia in 2005
- WHI students scored 100% on Virginia's Standards of Learning (SOL) Exam
in 2005-06, & 06-07
- Football Coach at Virginia High School,
Bristol, Virginia 2005- current
- Named VMS Teacher of the Year for 2006-2007

- While in military, stationed in Alabama, South Korea, Maryland, and
Pennsylvania
- Currently resides near Blountville, TN
-Married, 1 son (Blake Edward, born May, 7, 2007), multiple pets
- Rabid sports fan, supporting the (2006 World Series Champion) St. Louis
Cardinals, the New York Jets, and the Universities of Tennessee and Penn State
(and VMS/VHS of course)
