Renaissance Learning Accelerated Reader Enterprise™   The purpose of the Accelerated Reader Program is to encourage reading and to make reading fun. The Accelerated Reader Program is designed to provide students practice and help accelerate learning. The Accelerated Reader Quizzes enhance personalized reading practice and guide students to books on appropriate reading levels.  A Parent's Guide to Accelerated Reader Questions and Answers       Accelerated Reader Quiz Book Labels   Book labels are located inside the front cover of the Van Pelt Accelerated Readers.  The label contains  information on the book level, points, and quiz number.       Accelerated Reader Classification Color Dots   Classification color dots are located on the spine of the Accelerated Reader books.  These dots are used to code books that have Accelerated Reader Practice Quizzes.   The classification color dots represent:         Level PK 0 – 0.9  Aqua     Level 1   1.0 –1.9   Blue               Level 2 2.0 – 2.9   Red           Level 3 3.0 – 3.9  Green          Level 4  4.0 – 4.9 Brown         Level 5 5.0 – 5.9 Yellow           Level 6 6.0 – 6.9  Purple           Level 7 7.0 – 7.9 Orange         Level 8 8.0 – 8.9  Pink     Renaissance Learning AR BookFinder   The AR BookFinder is a free online tool that searches for books that have an Accelerated Reader Quiz.  The AR BookFinder searches by title, author, subject, reading level, interest levels, topics, award-winning titles, and more.  The BookFinder provides book summary information, word count, page count, book cover photos, ISBN, ATOS book level, and much more information. AR BookFinder   Renaissance Leaning Home Connect   The Home Connect website is a great tool for parents to see how their child is progressing with the Accelerated Reader program.  You login with your child's Accelerated Reader username and password.  This site can be used to see the last test taken, average score, points earned, and book quizzes that have been taken. You can set the program to send you an e-mail every time your child takes a quiz. Home Connect www.bvps.org/renaissanceserver/HomeConnect/Login.aspx   Lost Books   Students are required to pay for lost and/or damaged library books.  The price of the lost library book is determined by two factors: the original cost and the age of the book when it is lost.
