V-T week is an 87 year old tradition enjoyed by Virginia High School students as well as alumni. During V-T week, September 10-14,  students are encouraged to participate in various activities to show school spirit. The theme of V-T Week this year is Crank That Bearcat Pride!  The daily events are planned by the VHS cheerleaders to promote the school spirit.  Examples include the following: Twin Day, Tacky Day, Hippie Day, Hillbilly Day and a mock beauty pageant which is held on the afternoon before the game. A bonfire is held the night before the game and a mannequin is dressed up as a Viking and tossed within the burning flames.  Students will wear black to the game to create the Black Out Effect.
