Students at VMS are collecting aluminum cans to help the
Holly Help
Spay-Neuter Fund. The fund was started by Sue
Williams, a former mail carrier who frequently came across many
stray dogs and cats while delivering mail. She found out that
almost 100 dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies are being killed every
week in Bristol area shelters because there aren’t enough loving
homes to go around. Sue started the fund to help prevent pet
over-population and named it in memory of her beloved dog, Holly. |

Students bring cans and help not only animals, but our environment,
too. To date, we have collected 165 cans. Since it takes 4,000
cans to pay for one procedure, we need many more. Please send your
clean, empty aluminum cans to Mrs. Bagnall’s (abagnall@bvps.org)
room 104 at VMS.
