The Bearcat Juggling
Club was created in 2002 with a group of dedicated 6th
graders. Since that time, we have expanded each year
with more members. Educational Studies have shown that
juggling can help improve reading, handwriting, and
sequencing skills used in math and science. The process
of becoming a Bearcat juggler no doubt improves the
middle schooler’s patience, persistence, and
self-discipline.
We start in September
teaching the fundamentals of juggling to those who are
interested. By the end of the year we have a group that
can perform at half-time shows, elementary school
performances, talent shows, and community events.
Students who are interested in learning the fundamentals
of juggling at VMS can join us for an “open” juggling
meeting. Open juggling is for anyone who is interested
in learning to juggle or who would like to try out as a
member.
