Welcome to the 2006-2007 Virginia Middle School PTA Website!

A Message from the President...
PTA is only as helpful and effective as you make it, which means:  JOIN PTA!!  Membership dues are only $5.00 which also covers local, state and national dues.  Money collected from dues enables us to do special rewards for all VMS students and to support our teachers and administrators.

Happy Holidays!

Andrea Birchfield

PTA Membership Drive
2006-07

 PTA tops 100 members

Our 2006-07 membership drive is off to a great start.  We currently have over 100 members.  We have already toped last years membership and are looking forward to many more joining.

If you have joined we say “Thank You”.  If you have not it is not too late.

If you were unable to attend the Open House, just put your $5 membership fee in an envelope, mark it PTA and send it to school with your child.

Join our PTA and help us make a difference in the lives of our children.  Help us make this a great year at VMS!

Membership Chairman

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We are currently seeking volunteers to serve the PTA for the 2006-2007 school year.  If you are interested, please contact Andrea Birchfield

Holly Help Project
Students at Virginia Middle School are collecting cans for the Holly Help Spay and Neuter Fund.  The fund helps pay for spaying and neutering animals so there won’t be so many cats and dogs that can’t find homes and have to be euthanized.  Students and teachers have collected 263 cans so far, but it takes about 4000 cans to pay for one operation.  WE NEED MORE CANS!  Students may bring clean and empty aluminum cans to Mrs. Bagnall’s room (104) in the morning before school starts, or anytime during the day.  Help animals and the environment at the same time!
